Multimodal put back to June 2021
[ November 26, 2020 // Chris ]The Multimodal freight conference and exhibition has been postponed for a third time – to 22-24 June.
The event at Birmingham NEC was originally planned for June 2020 but was then postponed to November 2020, and then again to March 2021, due to the Covid-129 crisis.
The organisers said they would continue to closely monitor the latest advice to ensure the health and welfare of all those involved in the event.
Robert Jervis, logistics portfolio director at organisers, Clarion Events, said: “Whilst we are disappointed to make this decision, we have to place the safety of our customers, attendees, staff, and suppliers at the forefront of our thinking, bearing in mind both governmental directions and general public health advice.
“Having canvassed the opinions of a large sample of visitors and exhibitors, it was clear that the pragmatic approach is to postpone the event in 2021.”
Multimodal has launched a series of monthly webinars to keep the industry connected and up-to-date with latest developments – multimodal.org.uk/webinars.
The next event, on ports, is on 10 December 14.00.
