Multimodal reveals first online event
[ July 1, 2020 // Chris ]Clarion Events has published details of the first online event for Multimodal Connect, the online forum that has been set up following the postponement of the show and conference to March next year.
The session, ‘Accelerating eCommerce fulfilment: capacity, compliance and profitability’ will be held on 15 July in partnership with the organisers of the eDelivery Expo.
Multimodal events director, Robert Jervis comments: “The current pandemic has accelerated the adoption of eCommerce, placing large demands on the fulfilment network. Retailers, 3PLs, warehouse operators, fulfilment houses and delivery networks have had to scale up to peak levels of activity, whilst also developing safe ways of working. The industry is seeking to establish profitable operating models and ways of working that can sustain activities in the short, near, and long term.
“Our first Multimodal Connect event, featuring expert speakers from across the eCommerce logistics arena, will investigate such issues as peak delivery at all times; customer expectations; boosting capacity and achieving efficiencies; as well as making fulfilment safe, and will include a case study on managing a double digit increase in deliveries.”
