New berth for Dorset port
[ September 2, 2022 // Chris Lewis ]Portland Port in Dorset is to invest £26 million in a development to remove its existing Deep Water Berth and replace it with a new, extended berth. The new DWB will have a 250m solid berth face and 12m water depth alongside, capable of handling ships up to 350m long. Preparatory works are already underway and the new berth is due to be fully operational by 1 May 2023. It will be used for cargo and cruise vessels.
