New carriers extend WebCargo’s US reach
[ July 24, 2024 // Chris Lewis ]US forwarders now have book and rate access to nearly 70% of domestic air cargo volume on the on 7LFreight by WebCargo platform, following the addition of American, Delta, and United alongside existing members FedEx and UPS.
Options available include instant rating and booking by both ground and air providers, including LTL shipments, domestic air cargo and international air cargo.
WebCargo says the US domestic air cargo market has grown substantially in recent years, driven in part by Covid and the surge in e-commerce and the need for faster delivery times. Goods moved include pharmaceuticals, perishable agricultural products, and other time-sensitive products.
Founder and chief executive of 7LFreight, Brennan O’Dowd, said: “By integrating real-time rate management, quotes, and bookings for LTL trucking as well as domestic and international air cargo on one platform, we are providing a simple yet powerful tool that removes the complexity of managing multiple processes.
