New chief for Transaid

International development organisation Transaid has appointed Caroline Barber to take over as chief executive from 1 August. She will replace Gary Forster, 35 who is stepping down after 11 years.

Caroline first became involved with Transaid whilst on secondment as a Project Manager for Wincanton and joined the organisation full-time in 2008. In 2011, she was promoted to head of programmes

Scottish Traffic Commissioner Joan Aitken is to become an ambassador for Transaid.
