New man at the top for FS Mackenzie

FS Mackenzie – the UK member of the FPS network of independent forwarders and NVOCCs – has promoted Lloyd Smith to managing director.

Smith, previously a director of FS Mackenzie, has been with the company since 2005 and has played a key role in building up airfreight activities, headquartered at London Heathrow. He replaces company founder and Chairman Alfred Stienen, who will now take responsibility for projects and development for the entire group – FS Mackenzie and FSM International – with particular emphasis on further international network growth.

Fellow director Justin Keable is now responsible for the Basildon headquarters, and the Liverpool  and Midlands offices.
