New Newcastle base for LV Logistics
[ October 12, 2023 // Chris Lewis ]North-east operator LV Logistics has opened a new 16,000sq ft warehousing and distribution hub at Infinity Park in Hebburn, east Newcastle. The new base will give the company enough space and vehicles to launch its own dedicated transport service and will create six jobs.
Since opening its Newcastle branch 20 years ago, LV Logistics offered services including road transport, warehousing and freight forwarding by road, sea and air.
Branch manager Phil Hood, said: “LV Newcastle has been quite a pace setter for the company in terms of growth and hitting company targets, which is why the company has been so keen to invest in its continued development.
“Through opening this new hub, we are creating more jobs for local people and are expanding our service offering to clients to include warehousing and transport, which will futureproof our operation for years to come.”
He added: “Its central location, around three miles from the Port of Tyne, five minutes from the A1 and 30 mins from Newcastle International Airport, will also help us maintain excellent service levels.”
LV Newcastle has signed a 10-year lease on the unit, which will become its second premises in South Tyneside alongside its LV Valenbeck business in Jarrow.
