New ops director for London Gateway

Cosmin Carstea has been appointed operations director at P World London Gateway. Born in Romania, he first worked for DP World at the Port of Constanta and three years ago joined the senior global operations team at head office in Dubai.

London Gateway is the fourth ‘newbuild’ port project he has worked on. “I know what it takes to create a live operation from the construction stage,” he says. “I will be taking a two-layered approach – looking at strategy and the next phase of development, while also focusing on day-to-day operations.”

He adds: “I see DP World London Gateway setting a new industry standard and being the port of choice for the UK.”
