New ops manager for RMS
[ September 27, 2012 // Chris ]Humber-based port operator RMS Group Holdings has appointed Mike Kirby as chief operations officer.
The Group’s operations include the Boothferry Terminal and covered steel terminal at Goole where he started as yard foreman and worked his way up to nanaging director. He was a member of the management team behind the RMS secondary management buy-out in July 2007, led by the present CEO, Peter Aarosin.
Mike Kirby’s objective is: “To make the RMS group slicker and more profitable, and even more successful economically as a cargo handling and distribution company.”
The Group also includes Freshney Cargo Services’ operations in Grimsby and Immingham. The RMS group also owns the ports of Flixborough and Gunness on the River Trent and operates from the Alexandra and Albert Docks in Hull.
