Platform to speed post-Brexit customs

Freight software firm AEB is offering a central platform with a network of customs brokers, based on a co-operation between brokers Bongers in the Netherlands, and ChannelPorts in the UK, to allow goods to move easily after Brexit. The exporting party only has to submit the data to the carrier, which completes it with logistics data and then sends it on to AEB’s customs platform. Bongers then manages the customs documentation in the Netherlands and ChannelPorts manages the customs declaration in the UK. AEB makes the central customs platform available for Bongers to file its export declarations in the Netherlands and to facilitate the data transfer with ChannelPorts and the platform also automatically pre-notifies other systems, if necessary.
