New sales director for Port of Liverpool

Peel Ports Group has appointed Gareth Davies as sales director for the Port of Liverpool. Bringing with him more than 30 years’ experience in the multimodal road and rail logistics industry, he joins Peel Ports from Wincanton, where he was head of operations, responsible for all bulk transport including fuel, food, and cement.

He started his career in 1994 with P&O Trans European and has held leadership positions at DB Schenker Rail (UK) and Den Hartogh Logistics.

At Peel Ports he will work with existing and prospective customers to develop tailored, port-centric services which will streamline those customers’ operations and deliver more efficient supply chains.
