New UK MD for DSV

Pan-European operator DSV Road has appointed Jesper Hansen as its UK managing director. Hansen (38) has been with DSV Road in Sweden since 1997. In 2004, he became business area manager for the Swedish market and then was appointed division director domestic in 2011 where he ran a team of 330 staff with an annual turnover of £200 million across 20 locations. He will be based at the Purfleet office.

Hansen takes over from Rene Falch Olesen, who is part of the group executive management board, and will now concentrate on his role of chief commercial officer for the DSV Group. He will remain in the UK.
