New white paper – keep control of freight costs

AEB has published the fourth of its white paper, ‘Putting Freight Costs in their Place’. It demonstrates the advantages of accurate freight cost reallocation and how to do it efficiently with real-life examples of how successful businesses manage the freight cost reallocation process. There are also case studies from the beverage, textile and electronics industries.

AEB says that many companies find it had to reallocate transport costs to the parts of the business that gave rise to them, as traditional accounting methods can’t break them down to product or item level. They often work with large and complicated spreadsheets that are passed back and forth between controllers and departments, so freight costs end up being allocated inaccurately.
