New Zealand and Latam links for London Gateway
[ September 26, 2017 // Chris ]The joint CMA-CGM and Marfret Panama Direct Line (PAD) service – also known as North Atlantic South Pacific – has started calls at London Gateway. It will be the only direct service between the UK and New Zealand when Seatrade joins the existing partners later this autumn, says port operator DP World. The service also provides a link with the US east coast, the west coast of South America and Australia.
The North Europe French Guiana (NEFGUI) service – also operated by CMA-CGM and Marfret – started London Gateway calls on 16 September. It connects London with Central and South America, including DP World Caucedo in the Dominican Republic, Anguilla, French Guiana and North Brazil.
DP World says that there are now 17 weekly services calling at London Gateway.
Head of port commercial at DP World London Gateway, James Leeson, said: “These new services into DP World London Gateway strengthen the port’s offering in a number of ways. First and foremost, it shows a strengthening in our partnership with CMA CGM. It also strengthens our customer portfolio, with Marfret and Seatrade becoming valuable new port customers.
“Furthermore, it strengthens DP World London Gateway’s global network, with access to even more countries and ports. You can now ship to and from more than 100 ports in over 60 different countries across the globe from DP World London Gateway Port, more than any other deep-sea port in the country.”
