Nippon Express takes space in Glasgow

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership’s Airport Industrial Property Unit Trust has let a 1,400 sq m (15,000 sq ft) refurbished warehouse to Nippon Express at the Air Cargo Centre at Glasgow International Airport. The Japanese forwarder said it planned to consolidate its Scottish operations at Glasgow Airport, and grow its logistics services.

The estate is also home to UTi Worldwide, Saints Transport and Expeditors. Rents currently range from £5 to £6 per square foot. Two further warehouses remain vacant including The Hub, a modern 4,000 sq m (43,000 sq ft) warehouse due to be extensively refurbished this summer 2014 and available from the Autumn.
