No waiting

A new 5.2 mile access channel directly linking the East Port Said port complex to the Mediterranean Sea has been officially opened. It eliminates a 6-8 hour wait for vessels heading to the Suez Canal Container Terminal (SCCT) for the next convoy and gives 24-hour access for ultra-large container ships of 18,000teu.
