Nurminen offers Russia solution

Finnish-based Russian transport specialist Nurminen Logistics said that goods may be declared using the TIR declaration procedure only if payment of customs fees and taxes was guaranteed by obtaining separate insurance, if the Russians carry out their threat. Nurminen pledged to find its customs “the best solution”, pointing out that, instead of TIR declaration, it could produce T1 declarations at all its sites. It could also deliver goods to Russia by rail instead of road, using its own terminals and rolling stock.
