Onboard courier funds green projects
[ January 25, 2024 // Chris Lewis ]Chapman Freeborn’s On Board Courier arm is financially contributing to a selection of carbon reduction and climate projects as part of its wider plan to address emissions and support global carbon neutrality goals.
They are the Sichuan Rural Poor-Household Biogas Development Programme in China, providing up to a million low-income rural households with biogas digesters and cooking stoves; Utsil Naj — distributing Mexican cooking stoves to vulnerable communities; Ouarzazate II Concentrated Solar Power Project in Morocco: generating solar electricity locally; and Bikes for the Planet in Brazil: building and expanding existing bike lanes, parking areas and sharing programmes in Rio de Janeiro.
Chapman Freeborn OBC is also working to make its office locations more sustainable. Its Cologne office now runs on 100% European-sourced green energy and is phasing out its use of exclusively petrol cars.
