[ December 4, 2024   //   ]

Supply chain visibility platforms FourKites and Project44 have resolved two legal disputes in the Illinois Supreme Court between the two companies. According to a FourKites statement, the first involved a complaint over Project44’s hiring of two of its employees. The second involved an older complaint byProject44 regarding two emails sent five years ago by FourKites founder and chief executive Mathew Elenjickal to three individuals associated with Project44.

He said: “We are glad to put these disputes behind us. Our focus has always been on bringing innovation to market, transforming supply chains and driving unmatched value to our customers. That will continue to be our mission.”

FourKites board member and chief strategy officer, Sean Fallon, added: “These are old issues, and it’s time to move forward. Supply chains are more complex than ever. FourKites will remain laser focused on delivering the highest value to our customers.”

Project44 described the decision as: “A very favourable resolution of our defamation lawsuit against Four Kites for its false, defamatory and destructive emails sent by FourKites’ CEO Matt Elenjickal to project44’s board of directors and executives. As the Illinois Supreme Court found, Mr Elenjickal’s emails containing ‘defamatory statements made to corporate employees…can harm the corporation’s business reputation among those employees.’

“We are confident this Supreme Court decision will deter future unprofessional and destructive communications that have no purpose other than to unfairly harass and mislead competitors.”
