Palletways Iberia gets room to grow
[ March 31, 2022 // Chris ]Palletways Iberia has moved two of its Hubs to larger facilities to increase capacity.
It has relocated its Central Hub on the Iberian Peninsula to a 40,000sq m facility in Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, close to local motorways. The building has been constructed with sustainability in mind with more than 40,000sq m of ground material has been crushed and used as gravel in the new foundations and is equipped with solar panels and LED lighting.
Five years since the launch of its South Hub in Jaén, the network has moved to larger 18,000sq m facilities in Bailén, which can handle more than three times the volumes reached in 2022. The premises are ideally located for connections to main routes to serve Andalusia, Extremadura, Murcia, Albacete, Ciudad Real, Cuenca as well as extending its coverage into Alicante.
Both facilities have been designed to accommodate mega trucks and duo trailers.
