Papua-bound
[ May 20, 2013 // Chris ]Volga-Dnepr Airlines has is operating a series of AN-124-100 freighter flights to carry equipment to a new natural gas field in Papua New Guinea. The airline completed its first flight from Port Moresby to Komo in Papua New Guinea on 3 May in support of the new gas conditioning plant being built by CB&I on behalf of Exxon Mobil. Deliveries will operate only in daylight hours because of harsh conditions, which include highland areas and frequent fog.
