Partners sign Duisburg deal
[ March 20, 2023 // Chris Lewis ]Intermodal and shortsea operator Samskip, Duisport and rail firm TX Logistik have signed a deal to jointly operate the Logport III combined transport terminal in Duisburg, Germany. They have founded a new company, Ziel Terminal with Samskip holding 49.8% and Duisport and TX Logistik 25.1% each. The agreement is subject to approval by the European competition authorities. The 140,000sq m facility in Hohenbudberg has seven 720m long tracks and two high-performance gantry cranes. Annual handling capacity is up to 250,000 loading units.
