Peel wins award for its clean, green fleet
[ December 14, 2021 // Chris ]Peel Ports Group has won a Greenfleet award for switching more than 50% of its fleet to electric, in the Private Sector Commercial Fleet of the Year (Small to Medium) category.
Peel Ports is saving an average of 132 g/km of CO2 per vehicle per week, or over 31 tonnes per year.
The ceremony took place on 1 December at the British Motor Museum in Warwick, with the awards presented by comedian and actress Ronni Ancona.
Peel Ports fleet manager Malcolm Oliver-White (left of picture) was also commended for the Private Sector Fleet Manager of the Year Award, which recognises individuals working in the private sector that have demonstrated a commitment to making carbon reduction a priority in their daily duties.
