Plaudit for Davies Turner portal

Davies Turner took the Customer Digital Experience Innovation’ title at the Innovation awards of its platform supplier, Outsystems.

It was in recognition of the forwarder’s supply chain product, P2D – an online portal that enables customers to monitor and manage shipments at purchase order level.

Davies Turner group chairman, Philip Stephenson, said: “We needed to create an advanced, interactive system for customers to monitor and manage shipments from the creation of the purchase order through to final delivery, be that to the intermediary warehouse, or end user.

“Outsystems is the supplier of the platform that Davies Turner used to develop this enhanced solution, developing an app based on our own comprehensive specification, called P2D (purchase to delivery), completing the key stages in under four months.

“The App has helped to eliminate thousands of emails and phone calls, providing customers with more accurate information, online and in real-time.”
