[ May 22, 2024   //   ]

Software firm Pledge has is to support members of the Canadian International Freight Forwarder Association (CIFFA) and Australia’s Freight and Trade Alliance (FTA) with its sustainability expertise.

Both associations have embedded the Pledge Freight Emissions Calculator into their websites, allowing members the chance to trial its carbon emissions calculation capabilities without needing to sign up to the Pledge platform. Users can add more shipment details, including stopovers and transhipments.

Pledge founder and chief executive David de Picciotto said: “Being chosen by both FTA and CIFFA to support their members with their sustainability requirements marks an important step for Pledge – as we start working with associations outside of the UK and Europe, we’ll be better positioned to offer forwarders access to the tools and knowledge they need to decarbonise their customers’ supply chains.”

CIFFA executive director, Bruce Rodgers, said: “Through this relationship, CIFFA will provide its members with educational sustainability tools and solutions to assist in the tracking, analysis, and reporting of environmental metrics.”
