Polferries ‘in talks with Ramsgate port’
[ August 2, 2017 // Chris ]Polferries is in talks with Thanet council about possible services from the Port of Ramsgate, reports the kentonline.co.uk website. The Gdansk-based company currently operates three multipurpose ferries between Poland and Scandinavia. However, the website states that while talks with the council have taken place, the true extent of its interest is unclear. Cross-Channel services have not operated from Ramsgate since the collapse of TransEuropa in 2014, leaving the council with £3.4m in unpaid fees.
