Port of Tyne appoints innovation leader

The Port of Tyne has appointed Elaine Scott as innovation partnerships manager. She brings a wealth of experience from her time at Space North East England, where she led the development of the region’s Space sector and in her new role will focus on the skills and innovations needed to future-proof the maritime industry.

In this newly created role for the 2050 Maritime Innovation Hub, she will build strategic relationships with external partners in industry, academia, and government to help businesses and start-ups to accelerate their ideas into commercial success.

The 2050 Maritime Innovation Hub brings together industry leaders to bring game-changing ideas to market and tackle key challenges around decarbonisation and digitalisation.
