Portsmouth opens new linkspan

Shipping minister Nusrat Ghani officially opened Portsmouth International Port’s new £9m linkspan on 9 August. It is the first step in a £20m investment programme at the second-largest cross-channel port and received over £500,000 in EU funding, with the rest of the £9m provided by Portsmouth City Council which owns the port.
