Time-critical specialist Priority Freight has set its cross-trade logistics service aas a stand-alone department at its London Heathrow office. It is headed by Tom Outhwaite and offers a service coordinating all third country freight and customs clearance activities, including temperature controlled, oversized goods and hazardous cargo, from one location.

General Manager Gemma Holmes said the service now accounts for 27% of the shipments handled at Heathrow. She explained “This investment in a team dedicated to cross-trade business will ensure that our clients receive the full benefit of Priority Freight’s global expedited logistics solutions. The buyer remains in control as the goods move directly from shipper to final receiver. This saves on cost, time and is more environmentally friendly.”
