Promotions at Maritime Logistics

Container logistics company Maritime Transport has promoted Simon Smart to Managing director, container transport and David Boomer to managing director, distribution. They were previously operations directors in the business. The move aims to strengthen the senior management of the company and to provide greater focus on the two key areas of growth for the business.

Maritime Transport Limited (Maritime) is one of the largest privately owned, transport companies in the UK and claims to be the market leader in the container transport sector, employing over 1,000 staff and drivers. Its main base is at Felixstowe where it has three depots and it operates 16 others at prime seaport and business locations.
