Rainbow warriors

[ March 23, 2021   //   ]

Two containers painted up in rainbow colours to celebrate AP Moller – Maersk’s commitment to diversity and inclusion have made it on their first leg of their journey across the world from Los Angeles to APM Terminals Yokohama, where they arrived on 22 March. They are set to end up in Denmark for Copenhagen Pride 2021, stopping at several locations in Asia and Europe on their way.

During their World Tour, the containers will be available for employees from AP Moller Maersk brands to sign, as a symbol of their own personal commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Throughout their voyage, all those lucky enough to see one of these rainbow containers are encouraged to take a picture and share on social media platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, or Facebook using the hashtag #InclusionAllTheWay.

All very commendable, but should a leading company in an industry that spends millions every year cleaning unwanted graffiti off buildings and equipment be encouraging its own employees to write on containers in indelible market pen? Though I must say that the ladies in Yokohama have very neat writing.
