Rhenus buys Belgian barge firm

German forwarder Rhenus’ PartnerShip inland waterways arm is extending its operations to Antwerp by increasing its shareholding in Belgian-based operator DGA Shipping from 45 to 100%, buying the balance of the company from Germany’s HGK Shipping. DGA Shipping offers across the country and in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Antwerp region. It specialises in dry bulk shipping, general cargo and project cargo and offers transport services to all the ports in the Rhine catchment area, its tributaries and all over Germany through German partner companies.
