Rhenus expands German road hubs
[ August 29, 2023 // Chris Lewis ]The Rhenus Group is expanding two of its road freight operations in Germany with a new facility in Nuremberg and major expansion of its existing hub in Dietzenbach, south-east of Frankfurt.
The Nuremburg site includes a transhipment and warehouse on an area of almost 17,000sq m and is adjacent to the existing high-bay warehouse operated by Rhenus Warehousing Solutions. It will provide interim storage and prepare products for domestic or international transport.
The site in Dietzenbach will store hazardous and pharmaceutical products with special temperature requirements.
A green roof is being installed at Dietzenbach and most of the building materials from the old demolished, buildings are being reused in Nuremberg.
Both facilities are expected to be completed during the spring of 2024.
