Röhlig first to offer Live Position box tracking
[ December 16, 2024 // Chris Lewis ]Röhlig Logistics has become the first forwarder to offer real-time ‘Live Position’ container tracking using shipping line Hapag-Lloyd’s technology. It says its customers can now track their containers precisely, similar to parcel tracking with real-time updates and specific location of containers.
Live Position uses devices attached to containers, which transmit location data every 15 minutes. This information is fed into Röhlig’s operational systems via an API, which was co-developed by Hapag-Lloyd and Röhlig’s digital spin-off, cargonerds.
