Safety-first for Dublin Port

Dublin Port Company and its seven unitised terminal operators – Dublin Ferryport Terminals, Doyle Shipping Group, Irish Ferries, P&O Ferries, Peel Ports Group (MTL), Seatruck Ferries and Stena Line – have launched Dublin SafePort initiative.

It aims to foster an enhanced safety culture among port workers with the port company and terminal operators standardising safety practices across the 260-hectare estate.

It includes a new road safety campaign in the port to engage with road users on driver behaviour, safety etiquette, speed limits and changes to the port’s internal road network.

The Road Safety Authority’s Shuttle Bus will also give port workers a chance to practice their driving and hazard perception skills in simulators.
