Saints alive! Southampton’s biggest ship yet

ABP Southampton handled its largest container ship yet this weekend – CMA CGM’s 400m long , 20,656teu Antoine De Saint Exupery.

She is longer than four football fields and if all her containers were laid end to end they would stretch from Southampton to Enfield, north – 78 miles.

Only two years ago, in 2016, the largest container vessel calling in Southampton was just 16,000teu. That record was broken at the end of 2017 with the call of to 20,568teu Milan Maersk.
