Shipping line reaches Olympic heights

Shipping and logistics giant CMA CGM Group is the official shirt sponsor of local side Olympique de Marseille for the 2023–24 season.

It will be worn by the players of the men’s team during the first match of the season on the weekend of August 12th and 13th, as well as by the women’s team and the OM Campus, the club’s training center.

CMA CGM was founded in the city almost 45 years ago, while Olympique remains the first and only French club to win the UEFA Champions League.

But any Leyton Orient supporters hoping to bask in a little reflected glory will be disappointed. Olympique’s nickname is not ‘Les Os’ but Les Phocéens, reflecting the port city’s long maritime heritage.
