Soget is going to Jamaica
[ December 1, 2015 // Chris ]The Port Authority of Jamaica (PAJ) and Bureau Veritas BIVAC have signed a contract with Soget to implement a port community system (PCS) at eight of the island’s ports and airports, including the port of Kingston which handled 1.63m teu in 2014. The specialist company will implement the S)ONE PCS in what it describes as the largest such system in the Americas.
Soget describes S)ONE as a next generation PCS to provide optimization, collaboration and automation of nationwide trade logistics processes through a single submission of data. It acts as a neutral and open electronic collaborative platform enabling intelligent and secure exchange of information between public and private stakeholders in order to improve the competitive position of sea and airport communities.
