Southampton gets dredging go-ahead
[ February 20, 2013 // Chris ]Associated British Ports (ABP) has gained Marine Management Organisation to dredge the entrance to the Port of Southampton as part of its programme to upgrade itself for the world’s largest containerships. It said: “The consent marks the final piece in the jigsaw of licences, consents and permissions to complete the programme.”
The consent follows permission to widen the channel at Marchwood, work which is now underway.
