Special cargo soars away at ABC

Freighter operator AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC), is reporting a 25% increase in its volumes of special commodities increase % in 2018. It says that improved processes, digital solutions, partnerships and the reinforcement of its global team helped to boost pharma volumes by more than 60% year-on-year, while dangerous goods shipments rose by 40%. Demand for oversize and heavy cargoes increased by over 20% versus 2017, and ecommerce business was up 6%. The company expects the trend to continue.
ABC is using new equipment to improve monitoring of cargo condition – temperature logger, shocking sensors, Bluetooth transmitting devices and has partnered with companies such as Unilode and SITAONAIR, to guarantee 100% traceability of shipments.
