Freightliner ran a special dedicated OOCL service on 5 October to mark the continued partnership between the two companies. The Southampton bound service departed Freightliner’s Trafford Park Terminal in Manchester with 52 OOCL containers and followed the contract signing between OOCL UK branch managing director Peter Ip and Freightliner MD, Adam Cunliffe for the second ten-year agreement. OOCL has committed to increase capacity by 50% with daily links between Southampton and Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester.
