Stena buys Freightlink
[ November 24, 2021 // Chris ]Swedish-owned Stena Line has bought 100% of Preston-based ferry booking agency Freightlink, including its CustomsLink clearance arm, for an undisclosed sum. The company will continue to operate as a stand-alone business unit within the Stena Group and on arms-length principles and will continue to operate out of its existing office under current management. Stena’s group head of freight Jacob Koch-Nielsen said: “We wish to broaden our product offering not least in light of Brexit, where the demand for efficient and seamless customs clearance solutions is very high and we believe there is great value in supporting the market and our customers within this field.”
