Strike threatened over ‘missing’ XPO pension payments
[ May 21, 2019 // Chris ]The Unite trade union said on 16 May that it was considering strike action over failures to credit pension contributions of some XPO Logistics UK employees. Unite national officer for road transport and logistics Matt Draper said he had “repeatedly tried to get iron-clad guarantees at the XPO annual meeting in New York” that this would not occur again, “but to no avail”. Draper added that the problems are believed to have arisen since the company moved to a new payroll provider though it was not clear how many of its nearly 3,000 members in UK have been affected.
