Strong Q3 growth for UPS

UPS’s third-quarter 2020 consolidated revenue rose 15.9% over 2019 to $21.2 billion. Consolidated average daily volume increased 13.5% year over year.  Net income was $2.0 billion for the quarter, 11.8% above the same period in 2019, or 10.7% on an adjusted basis.  Operating profit was $2.4 billion, up 11.0% compared to last year’s third quarter, or 9.9% on an adjusted basis. Chief executive Carol Tomé said the results were fuelled by continued strong outbound demand from Asia and growth from small and medium-sized businesses.
