[ September 24, 2019 // Chris ]Cargo loaded in UK ports or prior EU ports and remaining on board the vessel while calling at in the UK will require an Entry Summary Declaration (ENS) to be filed in advance of the vessel’s entry into the EU after Brexit, reports container operator Ocean Network Express (ONE). The Japanese-owned consortium says that the European Commission (EC) has confirmed the UK will be treated like any other non EU country for security filing purposes. ONE adds that this is not limited to cargo discharged in an EU port later in the rotation, but also includes FROB cargo (Foreign cargo Remaining On Board) transiting the EU and destined for subsequent non EU ports.
