American Airlines Cargo has officially opened its ExpediteTC cold storage pharmaceutical facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It says it is the only airline in the north-east US with a state-of-the-art terminal for temperature-sensitive, life science and healthcare cargo.

Cargo service between Glasgow and Philadelphia will commence on 3 May and between Edinburgh and New York JFK and Shannon and Philadelphia on 7 May. The routes will be operated by B757 aircraft “perfect for smaller size shipments,” says the carrier.
