AP Moller-Maersk has named the world’s first large methanol-enabled container vessel the Ane Mærsk at a ceremony at the Hyundai yard in Ulsan, South Korea. She is named after Ane Mærsk Mc-Kinney Uggla, the chair of the AP Moller Foundation and AP Moller Holding. Ane’s eldest granddaughter was godmother and christened the vessel by breaking a champagne bottle over the bow.
