Brittany adds new UK-Spain route

Brittany Ferries to restart

Brittany Ferries services from the UK to France were due to restart on Tuesday after a pay agreement ended a series of strikes that had virtually crippled the operation. The first service was due to be the 15.30 from Poole to Cherbourg. [+]

Brittany Ferries strike

Bookings on Brittany Ferries have been suspended due to a of a strike by French crew members over working terms and conditions. The French operator has moored its vessels in France while negotiations continue in Roscoff between managers and French unions. Traffic is meanwhile being diverted to short-sea crossings. [+]

New Deal

DFDS Seaways and LD Lines are to rename the chartered Brittany Ferries ferry Barfluer the Deal Seaways when she becomes the second ship on their joint Dover-Calais service on 27 April. She will bring the total number of daily sailings to ten each way.   [+]
