Multimodal operator CargoBeamer says that Girteka, the largest asset-based road freight company in Europe, has become the first company to reach the 20,000 trailer milestone on its rail services.
Lithuanian-based Girteka booked its first units on CargoBeamer’s trains in October 2017 and uses mainly the Kaldenkirchen (Germany) to Domodossola (Italy) route but in 2020 the companies successfully tested several trains between Germany and Lithuania.
