Ports of Normandy president Hervé Morin officially launched construction of the Port of Cherbourg’s multimodal terminal on 29 August in the presence of senior officials from Brittany Ferries, the French Railways and the maritime industry.
The scheme, when fully realised will link Spain and the south-west of France to the UK and Ireland and will significantly increase the port of Cherbourg’s hinterland.
